Emerge from just existing to living!!!

The Word of God commands for His people to be transformed (Romans 12:2). Are you ready to Emerge?

The Greek word for transform is metamorphoō which means to change into another form, to transform, to transfigure. As followers and believers of Jesus Christ we have a responsibility to transform, emerge, change, evolve and to become who we where created to be. Unfortunately, many in the Body of Christ are stuck in the futility of their thinking, or in what others say or view them to be. Therefore in doing so they can become ineffective in the ability to move forward or emerge into becoming their unique selves.

I can attest there was a time in my own life when I was not emerging, or transforming, but rather stuck and was not evolving or emerging to become the Woman of God in whom I am today. I was stuck in not knowing my identity (due to be teased as a little girl) and not having a father to pour in me or to affirm me. Due to brokenness and void in my own life I searched to fulfill the pain and void with all the wrong things/people.  I found myself going through life trying to please and rescue others when all along, I was the one who needed rescuing. I went through life giving and doing what others wanted me to do, just to be accepted and to fit in. It wasn’t until the birth of my second child that I fully open up my heart fully to receive the genuine love of my Heavenly Father. Not only did God become my Father he became my Abba. The word Abba is an Aramaic word that would most closely be translated as “Daddy.” It was a common term that young children would use to address their fathers. It signifies the close, intimate relationship of a father to his child, as well as the childlike trust that a young child puts in his “daddy.”

In God becoming my daddy, I came to him with child like faith and trust. I released my pain, rejection, brokenness and all of my insecurities to him. But, before I could do this, I had to have a made up mind to trust him and be willing to release the pain and brokenness to him. In doing so my transformation process started by emerging from a woman of brokenness and shame to a woman of confident and wholeness!

My question for you today…

Who are what is hindering the true you from emerging?

In order to have a changed mind one most first know they need to be changed…  Ephesians 4:20-25 Tells us how to”change” how to rid ourselves of those things that weigh us down, and causes us to be out the the will of God…vs 22 throw off your old evil nature and your former way of life, which is rotten through and through, full of lust and deception. 23 Instead there must be a spiritual renewal of your thoughts and attitudes. 24 You must display a new nature because you are a new person, created in God’s likeness-righteous, holy, and true. God is not seeking to change our behavior but he is seeking to change our hearts…His desire is that we become new creatures in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:17

The only way a person can become a godly individual is by changing pattern after pattern of his/her sinful/unrighteous behavior to that which is righteous.

There must be a put-off and put-on dynamic in order to achieve a godly life. This is what the Bible calls discipline (Ephesians 4:17-32; Isaiah 1:16-17; Galatians 6:16-18; Philippians 2:13; Colossians 3:5-17).

The call for repentance is a call for change. Hebrew 12:11, Race for Godliness Put off and put on a life of effort. The author talks about being “trained” by God’s discipline to obey Him. To practice something until it becomes natural.

What are the things you need to change?

What or who is hindering you from changing?

“Change” is necessary for a transformed mind!

Are you ready to emerge for existing to “LIVING”
